Modern Family
I can't believe I haven't written about this show yet. If I had to pick one show to watch for the rest of my life, I'm pretty sure it would be... the Daily Show with Jon Stewart but this would be a close, close second. If I could choose two, it would definitely be there. I love this show because it is hilarious and at the same time, it's super clean. Some people may disagree with that because there is a gay couple on the show but I'm cool with it so it's clean to me. I am Claire Dunphy. She's prettier, skinnier, taller than I am but other than that, I am Claire. Zachary would agree as he is pretty similar to Phil when he's in a silly, playful mood. The difference is, thank goodness, Zachary can have a serious side. The dynamic between Haley and Alex is so very funny. I think it's also funny that Clarie and Phil acknowledge that Haley's not going anywhere great in the near future and that Luke is a little off. They love them anyway! I also could listen to Gloria talk all day..
Cranberry Pomegranate Trail Mix Bars
So Malia and I were provided one of these bars each for our break during the GRE. I got a break after my two essays, one verbal and one math section and it was so very good. I went to Wal-Mart the next day to find them but they don't carry them. Neither did Burlington's Target. Malia gave me a box she found at Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill so I tried the HT in Burlington and I didn't see any. In desperation, I checked each of the labels and sure enough, I found it! One misplaced box was covering six of these wonderful boxes. So I got them all. So very good.
The Tudors
So my mom got Netflix and I was super excited to be able to watch some shows. I have way too many seasons of shows on DVD so I was looking forward to being able to just watch one after another without having to wait for one to come to me in the mail. Me and Matt, being the nerds we are, put that we're really in to documentaries and I had put dramas earlier so it brought up the Tudors from Showtime. Oh my goodness, I am hooked. So I remember that Mr. Hood in 10th or 12th grade taught us a little rhyme to help us remember what happened to each of Henry VIII's. I knew it went divorced, beheaded, died, then there's something, something, survived. So I'm guessing he divorces another and one more dies. Maybe another is beheaded, I can't remember but I don't want to know, so don't tell me! It's fun to be able to watch not knowing what happens next unlike with his ridiculous pursuit of Anne Boleyn, knowing she was going to lose her head any episode now... Jane Seymour just died after giving birth to Edward so we'll see what happens next!!
